Facial recognition technology has met Parker Fox.

I don’t think the software was prepared for a face that treats sincerity like a tax audit. Still, it tried.

Workplaces love recognition. Employee recognition. Brand recognition. Facial recognition. Recognition dashboards.

Actual recognition is harder.

It means noticing when confidence has become armor. It means knowing the difference between competence and performance.

There is something amusing about watching a machine ask a fox to “look less smug.”

Sometimes the software says the quiet part out loud.

So I’m curious:

How do you handle the colleague who treats every routine process like a private audition for executive approval?

I’ll be here, keeping my face neutral.
