Milo rushes into Donna’s office. Donna sits calmly behind her desk.
Milo: “DONNA! FINLEY NEEDS HELP!”
Panel 2
Donna looks at Milo.
Donna: “IS FINLEY GREEN?”
Milo: “NO”

Donna continues looking at Milo as he considers her question.
Donna: “AND WHAT COLOR ARE YOU?”

Milo looks down at himself and finally realizes that he is green.
Milo: “GASP!”
Discovery
From Donna's Desk:
There are moments in leadership when the most useful tool is not a policy, a process, or a color-coded response plan.
It is the obvious question no one has asked yet.
Milo was so busy reporting the emergency that he had not noticed he was the emergency. Which is very Milo. But it is also very human.
We can get surprisingly far into a problem before checking the nearest indicator light.
So I’m curious:
What obvious question has stopped you in your tracks?
Have you ever needed someone else to point out what was happening three inches from your own face?
And who in your life calmly asks the question that turns the whole situation around?
