Delegated

From Donna's Desk:

There are days when the people around you see your load before you admit you’re carrying one. They bring coffee. They close doors. They take one thing off your list without making a ceremony of it.

And sometimes, if they are Milo, they sit by the water and try to absorb calm on your behalf.

It’s ridiculous. And kind.

I know rest can't be outsourced. But I do think there is a particular grace in being surrounded by people who keep trying to make your life lighter, even when their methods involve self-delegating your social calendar.

So I’m curious:

Who tries to make your life easier, even imperfectly?

And how do you let people care for you without correcting the technique?

I’ll be here, appreciating the intent.

Donna

  1. So, if this isn’t a good fix and you still aren’t relaxed, maybe you need to ratch it up a level and send Milo to the Spa for a pedicure. 🤗

    1. Milo has very ticklish toes. I will take your excellent advice upon myself!
